View Full Version : Which one?
Is there a particular classic airgun you don't own but would dearly like?
For me, it would be an HW55T - the Rekord trigger, lovely stock, classic Weihrauch build quality, a barrel lock and, I think, the potential to make a sporter with a little gentle tweaking. :)

I`ve been after a Walther LG55 for ages, but finding a nice one at a price I can afford is very difficult.
One of these days.............. ;)

I know a member of this forum with a minty Tyrolean stock HW55.
He picked it up at a boot sale for £30 quid.... I`m not joking

Th BSA Airsporter Stutzen was a gun I loved. Remembering them being well discounted in the early 80's and pondered many a time on buying one but never did.
Realy wish I had now as they are pretty unique slim stylish and attractive gun and now becoming sought after. Dont suppose they sold well as german power and accuracy was evrything at the time.

Two mint HW55Ts have been mentioned. I'd rather they went to collectors, because they'd be wasted on me.
First thing I'd do would with an HW55T would be to dismantle and explore ways of improving it. Some of these fine air rifles were allegedly ruined by efforts to raise their power by 1970s/80s 'tuning', and I'd like to take one to perhaps 11fpe whilst keeping it sweet shooting. I'm sure the potential is there.
Then I'd shoot it. It would inevitably pick up the odd scratch and dent - and it wouldn't be mint anymore.
So if I ever chanced upon a mint HW55T for £30 I'd be looking to do a swap for a non-mint example with a £30 cash adjustment. :)

Some of their prices are what you`d call optimistic :D
They`re asking £150 for a Haenel 111-284 that can be got off egun.de for £30
