If it is just a regular laser, it would probably bu££er up you NV.
You would really need one with variable power, so you could trun down the spot, until it was just visible, rather than looking like the target was on fire!
www.rusmilitary.com do some, usefull as a place to read.
Dogfox, sometime has some, as do other BBS'ers.
What advantage do you feel the laser would give with NV?
A laser illuminatot is another thing altogether and can really improve the experience.
Hope this helps.

I was wondering the same thing if a normal laser would bu££er my NV. I have spoken to rusmilitary and they only have a corsak-17 adjustable laser and they say this should be fine with NV.
I just like to light the Bunnies up with a Laser before I pop them. I guess Ive watched to many Rambo type films:D

There's a difference between a laser aimer/pointer (US=designator) and an illuminator.
A pointer will burn a mark into your tube if not used sparingly. Turn it on briefly before shooting, then turn off.......
There are a number of illuminators about, LED and laser. Until recently, I would have said lasers were in a completely different league to LEDS. However, I've just taken delivery of the first LED illuminator of a batch that is set to change that.
The laser illuminators do have focus controls that allows the beam to be spread over quite a wide area, diffusing the beam really quite well. [All three of those we sell, and the fourth on its way, all have this focus control.] For long distance work, these remain the best choice.
For dedicated Gen I, or Gen II+, this new illuminator will suit everyone. As some of you will know I've been selling NV since 2004 (used to be a reseller for S.B. before they went bust) and have seen many illuminators.
This new one, provides truly outstanding performance AND is completely eye safe. I think it will retail for circa £139 which really is good value for money. It's not quite as compact as a laser, but is really effective. Only arrived yesterday, so not on the web site yet. Have a look in 3 or 4 days. ;)
