I've had mine for three weeks - I've only been able to use it in anger once...:( The weather was too crap last week, and since then I've had some horrible lurgy, so I'm seriously pi55ed off with not having been able to use it...:( :(

Wrong matey 3 with them, i've had mine couple of weeks now,:p :p :p ,
Same here though fella, not had a chance to use it on the rifle but have used it as a monocular when out with my lad and lurcher, lamping, to have a quick look what it was like, so will definately give feedback by the weekend as i'm on nights at the moment.
But must say after getting used to the digital controls so far seems a great piece of kit, easily clear as a bell way over 175yrds, when i was spotting rabbits to sneak up on before lamping for dog. So as soon as weekend is here i'll be back on giving my input on its performance on Simons Aetec.
Also will offer any locals interested in this NV to come and have a look for themselves the quality of this nightvision, so let me know if you're interested and i'll try and sort something out for you.
See you all soon,
Ste Nug.;)

They are trickling through. A word to the wise ......
While the technology is fairly proven [a year+ being field tested] the current model and production method is not. Rather than rush manufacture and (maybe) let the odd problem through without realising, the design/manufacture team are making sure the product leaves the final assembly/sales activities with a high level of confidence it's not going to fail 30 minutes after delivery. [As some products have done in the past when final assembly has been rushed.]
It's nice to be one of the first with anything new, especially when such a quantum leap is made like the new digital sight. BUT I'm sure we'd all prefer something made with the right amount of care ..... ;)
We all need to be patient. There's still plenty of night time, even in the middle of summer. :D
Two models currently in production are the Standard add-on [£499], and the 'Pro' version of the same [£699 - IIRC].
Both well under-priced for what you're getting.

I can second the above - Gavin of GBSights has been keeping in regular contact to make sure that my digital NV is set up properly and to find out what issues I might have with its performance, use, reliability, etc. I think he's doing exactly the right thing in making sure everything works 100% before releasing it to the open market! :)

Second that, Recieved mine through, and Gavin has been a star, asking for feedback helping solve a couple of small niggles etc.
As baldie says these units are not perfect at the moment, and Gavs obviuosly committed to putting the whole package together properly, hence the trickle of units on the market. Which it the right way to do it, but what ive seen so far is exciting, just soem slight refinement here and there required.
Just waiting for my new scope so i can give it a field test...........but the impending birth of the first child might delay me a bit also:rolleyes:
As soon as i do ill post some initial comments. Upto press though I cant praise Gav (Dogfox) enough top geezer and a real enthusiast himself it seems.:D

When I was in Las Vegas in January I bought a Bushnell® 5x42 Stealth View Digital Night Vision Binoculars for $399 + tax. They are very good and once you get used to looking at a little TV, you can see loads. I would recommend them.
