I purchased this rifle after a 15 year airgunning hiatus. My purchases from the ages of 15-21 had been what must have been one of the first Webley Omegas, then a BSA Superstar, then finally a Theoben carbine.

My choice was based on instinct, wide browsing of internet forums/reviews, and a desire to own a rifle that was as 'stand alone' as possible. By that final criteria, I mean something that would last as long as possible using the minimum of maintenance effort.

My first impressions of this rifle straight from the box were favourable. A lengthy rifle with the HW silencer screwed on to the thread-cut carbine barrel, its weight is nonetheless nicely balanced. I personally find the rifle very attractive, and possessed of an elegance that belies its extremely solid construction. The beech stock is nicely finished and comfortable to use, with well cut chequering in the pistol grip, and a fore-end that covers the breech block. The blueing is deep and even, and the quality of the metalwork is quite superb. This bad boy has been built like the proverbial panzer tank.

Performance? I find the trigger superb - crisp, predictable let-off, and the re-settable safety catch works a treat for the right-hander. The rifle is smooth to cock, and I find it very gentle and accurate to fire as long as it is gently cradled rather than firmly gripped and held into the shoulder. Recoil is minimal. This was built to cleanly despatch rabbits, and that is what it does with the minimum of fuss. The ability to keep it permanently loaded without risking the damage that is popularly thought to affect springers is a real boon for quickly getting a shot off when an opportunity presents itself. Sling swivels are a good addition if you want to carry this rifle all day in the field. It's quick on target, and a steady shooting platform.

Great hunting tool, and one I hope to keep for a very long time.

Loved mine, shot bags of rabbits and magpies.
i had it stolen from my car:mad: and replaced it with a S200:( ..
the HW90 was perfect fit for me being heavy..the gun was as well:) .
I cant shoot lightweight guns.
I never had any problems with it and a great thing is i couldnt get it over the limit.it ran from 11-11.4 with any weight pellet from hobbys up to baracuda.

If they were a little shorter, i know the newer ones are:rolleyes:
they would be the perfect rabbit hunting gun:cool:

I'm sorry to hear it got knicked mate. I've got mine fitted with a sling now, and although it is heavy to lug around, it has a lovely balance and it sits perfectly when you hold it lightly. The consisitency is phenomenal, and the more I shoot it, the more I love it. Outstanding rabbit gun, the Weihrauch silencer is so good that I'm often getting 2 or 3 rabbits from a group as they just drop quietly, and they don't seem to pick up any report from the muzzle. It's worth the extra length on the carbine barrel!

Great guns ! I had one, sold it but kept wishing I had'nt so I bought another one !
Fancy a change of calibre ? Easy with the HW90, .177 .22 and .25 barrels are all available and are easy to change. Altering the power to suit the calibre and keep it legal is a thing of moments too :)

what a gun!? i used to have a webley tracker but it just doesn't even come close to this superb gun, it is so accurate and consistant it gives me a ton of confidence i can easily shoot a match stick at 25 yards the gun would hit it every time and with a tiny .177 pellet  infact i trust the gun so much if i happen to miss  i'll blame myself oops i must of pulled the shot.

1 problem i had was when allowing a friend to use it they let go of the barrel b4 it had locked  ... the barrel swung up violently and managed to bend itself and break the stock, so i've just fixed it and can't help wondering if i'd got the hw90 K wether this would have happened ... oh well such is life i still love it to bits and it shoots as sweetly and accurately as it did b4 the accident... 1 thing is for sure i don't let other people cock it anymore if they want a go i'll cock it for them i couldn't bare to not have my hw90 again.

:o p.s my gun was brought second hand with a repaired stock and at the time of the accident only had 1 front stock screw in I belive these 2 factors contibuted to the stock breaking :o
