From what I gather they are quite rare.

The is a little bit of info kicking around on this site (http://www.mlagb.com/cgi/yabb/YaBB.pl) once you can get around them moaning about the sharp series.

I quite fancy one (replicar as want to shoot it) and from what I gather it was the first standard issued rifled weapon issued to the army, although useless with open sites.

Seem to remember there was a pic of a guy holding one of the Baker replica he'd made in the current Target Sports magazine.

I'll see if I can find it later (off out now) and, if there's a link given, post it.

A guy at my clubs got one. Not shot it myself (yet ;)) but I can say that it goes "Woof" when it's fired! Strangely it has a distinct "Bang" when you hear it go off from the butts  :p

Was it Peter Dyson who made the Baker rifles for Sharpe?

Look up "The Old Rifle Shoppe" expensive and long backorder.
Also "Track of the Wolfe"
Very addictive stuff. Be warned!

Well worth a view (and drool)

Getting imports could be a problem but spare parts should be ok.
