My first try at a proper review

after ordering my air ranger in .177 i changed my mind and before it was sent out i asked for them to send me it in .22 to which they did.
well the air ranger arrived and i had a quick look all over it to make sure was no marks or blemishes i left it in its box it came in for a week.
i decided around 5.30 pm last night to take it out of box and scope it up using sportsmatch high 30mm mounts and leapers 3*12*44 swat scope,
i used high mounts for mag clearance.
with in 5 shots i had the .22 daystate 5.51 pellets hitting the bull at 30 yards
ive always have set my .22 air rifles up at 30 yards.
being a shrouded barrel i was expecting the gun to be quite loud but its as quiet as my rapid mk1 with logun silencer so was well pleased with that as i think adding a silencer to the air ranger would spoil its looks.
next test after sighting scope in and getting general feel of the gun was a hunting stalk for an hour for which the air ranger accounted for 14 rabbits
and not one complained about any muzzle sound so fair to say i wont be adding another silencer to it.
the air ranger i brought has only the 400 cc bottle on it and i found it balances the gun very well.
the mag works as well as expected no jams/or fitting faults.
the stock im not totaly convinced on as i prefer thumb up rather than thumbhole version the gun comes with, this is my only one gripe with it,also
i think the stock will mark quite easily more so than my harrier x would.
the finish on the gun is superb usual daystate quality.
i was going to spend alot of time seeing what pellets the ranger would like but seem's to me it likes the daystate ft 5.51 so wont be looking into that until ive put it over the chrono.

im am now thinking my mk1 rapid is not going to see alot of bunnies over the comming months, maybe even sell her which i thought id never say.(owned rapids in mk1 and mk2 for atleast 15 years)

good review. I have the Ranger in .177 and it is Amazing! Daystate is far better than Theoben imo but I would say that anyway as I love Daystates lol

Anyway, nice review and I hope you get alot more bunnies with it :D
