Looking for techniques to help judge and shoot in the wind; I've heard you Brits are unbeatable in the wind.:)

Visit Shepreth Airgun Club, the first time I went there the trees with targets in were moving! The same on Sunday, it may be a bit far from CA though!

I'm rubbish in the wind but am getting better slowly. I put 2 spinner targets at 90 degrees in a field and shot at them from varying distances, which helped me understand. The wind is never constant though.

Hope that helps, its working for me.

:) The only way is to be born with an airgun in your hand and shoot it in wind regularly. :)

Strange that, I am using 2700 ftlbs and the wind still affects it .

while true....not at 50 yards or less:D

of course we have to contend with the wind at 20fpe but you uk guys with your howling winds, light projectiles and 12 fpe rifles are something else. How you hold off 12" and still hit the target has to be trickery of some sort.

When it's windy, put down the gun, and pick up a kite! Or, go here?
