I was amazed by my first visit to a gun club how many shooters where covered from head to toe in camo.
I have so much camo being a hunter i could wrap my house in it!

But why at a shooting competition?
Makes you feel good?
Nothing wrong with that and i am not knocking anyone, but i have never seen so much shiny pressed camo clothing.
Mine have so much crap and holes in i could blend into a cow pat:rolleyes::D

Now i might wear mine as i can not be seen as the crappiest shot in the contest:(

I have some US camo rip stop trousers I wear for competitions as I don't care about messing them up or them smelling of people. My hunting clothes stay in a bag and are only worn at my shoots for the scent reason.

My missus being the glamour puss she is only has her hunting clothes that she'll lay down and shoot in so wears full on camo in comps.

I reckon it's more to do with having clothes you can muck up, thats what it is for me.

When I first went to an Airgun club with my son. We were the only people who wasn't in camo's . I think everybody knows I like my Camo :D

But I thought I'd best go in 'civvies' at the time, as I didn't know what to expect. Didn't I feel out of place! :o :D

Since going to a few more, I now go in my 'various' camo's.

I think it's just the 'in' thing, plus it can get abit dirty/muddy. So those close are appriorate.

Paddy.

From the moment I started full bore target rifle shooting, I thought it best to wear something bright rather than something to let you blend in with your surroundings!

Quote from my 6 year old at the Gun club

" why has that man come in fancy dress as a Tree ? "

Yeah, I believe the UKPSA actively discourage wearing camo, etc at Practical shooting events, since they don't want the civilian sport to be associated with the military. Nothing against the military, I think they just don't want to send out the wrong message, and want the distinction that it's a sport, not a bunch of "gun nuts" playing war games, etc.
Each to their own.
