The Burpster is right - you need to do a lot of reading up on this calibre. There is a manual titled 'One Book/One Calibre - The complete Reloading Manual for 22.250'
From this manual ( About a tenner) hopefully you will be able to make some informed decisions of bullets and powders.
It is very difficult to recommend a bullet type of powder type. If I tell you my Blaser 22/250 performs beautifully using Remington cases with CCI primers and 37 grains of N150 with Hornaday 55 gn V Max with an ogive measurement of 1.970, in your rifle it could be a waste of time you trying this recipe even if you also had a Blaser in 22.250
This is why finding the perfect combination in reloading is a matter of possibles and probables
You said you were using silver tips. If you were referring to Combined Technology silver tips these are a coated bullet and if you plan to change direction with your bullets you will have to go through the painful process of removing ALL traces of this coating from your barrel and this will not be acheived by your normal cleaning regime.
The cream on the top of the milk re accuracy is achieved by ensuring that the necks of your cartridge cases are all of a uniform size (thickness) - this is not achieved when you run the FL or neck sizing dies over the cases - they need to be neck turned.
I have heard it said ' I just want to shoot foxes out to 250 yards -I don't want my rifle to perform like a bench rest rifle' Cobblers. this is why we reload - we want our sporting rifles to get as close as possible to a bench rest rifle

As a starter, I have always used either Varget or 414 powders. The cases are Remington, Large Federal Match Primers and 52 grain A max bullets. Start your loads as 36 grains Varget and 37 grains 414 working up in 0.5 grain increments to your best group. The Varget for me in a VSSF is best but not much in it. Have the bullet seat well into the case with a similar COL to what you are firing in Factory form at the minute. If you try this to start with you should be ok.

52 A-Max and Powders such as RL15, Varget, VV150 and IMR4064 powders should get you going.
Wise words spoken on reloading and accuracy. A hunting gun needs to be accurate and the more accurate the better.
People think that velocity and power kills.
600 ft/lbs 1 inch off target is far less lethal than 100 in the right place.

52grain Amax 36grain varget or 32.8 grain TU5000 rem cases win LR primer works great stops foxes instantly never had one run

There are thousands and thousands of loads for 22/250 BUT how do the Supremes shoot in your rifle?
If they shoot well then you can use the cases which have been fireformed already, Winchester cases aint the best but they will do to start with, you can buy Combined Tech bullets which are really coated Noslers and are fitted to the Supreme ammo you have been using, copy the cartridge overall length if they have shot well, I suggest RL15, H380 or Varget are good powders for this calibre although there are plenty of others, you may as well use Winchester primers too if you are going to reload as per Supremes
If the Supremes dont shoot well then ignore all that:D
Every rifle shoots differently, if your Winchester is the heavy barrel Stealth then you have a model that can be a real tackdriver with suitable load, once you have got the basics of reloading sussed there are many ways to get the best accuracy for your particular rifle, however if you get groups under an inch at 100yds you are already well on the way
Dont make the mistake of chasing the one hole group measuring 6mm though as you will end up using the barrels life up without shooting anything more than paper:D
Half inch groups are easily good enough for Fox out to considerable ranges
36gns H380 behind a Sierra 55gn HpBt standard Federal or CCI primer takes foxes out to 250yds.
cheers for all the advice cant wait to get my reloading gear great web site lets hope it lasts for a long time
