Dropped into Sportsman centre on Thursday on my way back from Cornwall and picked up a new Lyman 1200 DPS III. Opticswaithouse are cheaper, but didn't reply to my email so a lost sale for them
The manual says to leave it on for 24 hours for the first go so turned it on late Thursday.
Couldn't wait that long so 20 hours later filled it with powder and tried the first load. I was amazed at how fast it is. About 10-12 seconds for 38 grains and the 40 odd loads I did were all spot on.
Its almost as fast as using a powder thrower but with near perfect consistancy.
I've read that the cleanup is a pain, but again almost as quick as cleaning my Lee powder thrower. Certainly not a hassle.
So really pleased with the first go and looking forward to lots of use in the future. Not sure why I'd use the memory when it appears easier to check the load log and just put in the number of grains required? Though the ability to link it to my PC fires my geekness.....
If you have been considering getting one then don't delay.
Oh and anyone want a lee powder thrower and RCBS scale?
