Thought i'd ask on here before going elsewhere....

may be going down the reloading route but... before i do... where would the most local source be to me [Sevenoaks in Kent] for powder, primers, bullets etc as my local gunshop [Saddlery in Biggin Hill] doesn't stock any reloading gear at all.
i know you can't buy everything in the post and don't want to have to travel miles and miles to get stuff. sort of takes the pleasure out of it as far as I'm concerned! :(

www.smartreloader.com is your friend if you want to buy new, Reloading solutions of Oxford or Sportsman gun are also cheap for some stuff.

What calibre are you planning to reload

What quality of gear are you looking for?, I have some RCBS 1010 scales and a Redding BR30 powder measure and stand available. Also a Redding powder trickler, a powder funnel

Theyre not cheap kit though, with exception of the funnel!

Primers now have to be face to face with FAC, powder needs TNT transport at large cost, so in practice you must also buy it in person.

Try Chris Potter in Tunbridge Wells http://www.gun.co.uk/, and also the chap in the Pantiles there http://www.pantilesguns.co.uk/ sells shotgun reloading stuff, black powder etc.

Otherwise I use Wilson and Wilson in Ramsgate, or when travelling North round M25 I pop into Roding Armoury in Abridge who have everything. These two advertise in the usual magazines, and have good prices.

ISTR there is also a local RFD who can supply ? See http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265668 post #6

Little bit of a trip but Tim at GT shooting in Coulsdon (http://www.gtshooting.co.uk) (J7 M25) has an extensive line of reloading gear and knowledge. Has stock of Viht powders and some hodgdon, but sadly no Varget.

There is Chris Potter in Tunbridge wells, but I have no experience of their knowledge or stock.

Anderson's in East Grinstead keep bits in stock, but not sure about knowledge and are pricey. They recently sold a chum .204 bullets for his .222 rifle  and varget is £38.25 a lb :eek:

And there is Surrey Guns in Wallington who is closing down so could be some bargains, but stock is getting low. Graham there can be a bit hit and miss.

Chris Potter is good for reloading. Duncan knows his stuff and Steve is a Zimbabwean Professional Hunter (keeping away from the Mugabe troubles) and most certainly is good for tips and help.

I know they have a full RCBS Master Reloading kit in stock and have most bits and pieces you will want. Anything else will normally be in stock within a couple of days if required.
