243 & 243Ai powder & quickload data

Hi Guys

Due to not being able to source any VV150 can anyone generate me some data via quickload for a 243 & 243 AI

Im not sure how quick load works but ill be loading close to/on the lands witha tight neck chamber for 70 75 80 g bullets

Id like a quick 243 load & a barrrel melting 243AI (3800+)load idealy with some powder recomendations thrown in!

varget & H380 seems easy to get but vit 140/150 seems thin on the ground!:-(

how quick can i get with H380 & varget?

Also what primers are teh best i have cc1200's & thats all ive ever tried aaprt from teh magnum primers for the h380

Should tell you everything you want to know, remember though choose wisely as if you decide to wind it up you may end up with a barrel life of 1000 rounds.

At £5-600 to rebarrel it and 60p odd/round to shoot it you had better make it count.

Start at the max load for the std .243win and work up

I used H4350 Ext. for all my 243AI loads with bullet weights from 70 -105grn

Ackley probably has some data but his 68 160 243AI load was way too high for my gun. I'm sure he'll give you some known data to try.
If you can PM me your OAL and Barrel length I'll run through QL for you. Also pref powder and heads.
Angelfire is a great source of data, but if you want to add the variables, let me know.
My load for AI was 70 grain NBT and 160 (can't remember the charge weight). I found 160 or XMR 4350 was giving me nice groups and sensible velocity.
150 and 160 is always abundant here

Im up at caterham next week so i could try and source some around there!

Give GT shooting (http://www.gtshooting.co.uk)a call. He's in Coulsdon, not far from Caterham, and normally has Viht powders in stock. I got some 150 from him last month.

Are you up for the day or staying a while. We'd (http://www.cdrifleclub.co.uk) be happy to entertain you one evening.

What price you getting Varget for? I can't get it around here for less than £38.25 :(.

Does he have a stall there Mark? I hope to get up there on the Sunday, should I take my ticket and plenty of money? Hope he brings some primmers, Jason Harris has been out of them for months :rolleyes:

Placed an order today for about £300 of consumables :o

Sadly he has no federal GM210 primers, and doesnt expect to see any for 2 years

What I save on postage will pay for the show tickets.

Best option is to ring ahead, order and pay then you know he will have it on the day and wont have run out :rolleyes: at the MGF he was having trouble doing credit card transactions and I wasnt carrying mega amounts of cash

The Fed primer issue has bitten here too now.
BR2 and 4s from now on. My last batch of Win primers were so bad, I ended up binning (fire works) the lot.
