Does anyone know if they do a 40gn A Max?

Not that I remember.
35 V-Max then 50 grain V-Max.
40 Grain NBT or CBT.

I know they do 40 gn Jacketed soft point [ JSP ] .

No they don't. Lightest is 52gr
If you're looking for somthing postable, your best bet are Nerger Match Varmint (or MEF, they used to be called) in 40gr. Wonderful things :)

Not A-max but they DO 40gr V-max.

Yes Hornady Do A 40 Gn V-max In .224, I Use Them In My 22 Hornet And They Are Far Superior Than The 35gn, Much Mor Ballisticly Shaped. The Only Drawback In My Cz Is They Will Not Fit My Mag Due To The Overall Length, So I Just Load I At A Time.

Yeah SPILY me too - same with 40gr Sierra Blitzkings. That said, i did for a while dremel the BTs down so that they look like a softpoint. Then they'd go in the mag, just.... No effect on accuracy either, if you do it carefully (i inserted the BT into the concave end of a small dremel grinding stone and got good consistent results)
