Have just busted my reloading press (cheap Lee one so I'm not too upset) so am in the market for a new one suddenly!
Am thinking of an RCBS Rockchucker or a partner press as I don't have an enormous ammount of spare cash (or ammo at the moment:mad:). Any comments on these two appreciated.
Thanks.

I have had a Rockchucker for over 30 years and it is still going strong.

That sounds like the sort of thing I'm after!

Yup - I have had a rockchucker for over 12 years and apart from myself, load for three other busy rifle users so in real terms it has probably done 30 years worth also. Still just as good as when I first had it.

I have several presses but my favourite is still the Rockchucker, in fact I like most things from RCBS, I have some more expensive bits but they are no better than RCBS to be honest

Got it from York guns. It wasn't the cheapest place (139 but don't tell the mrs) but I needed some powders from there anyway so thought why not. Altogether in a different league to the challenger press I can't use anymore.

Try Aftab Hamid, Reloading Solutions, Oxford [?] or Sportsmans Gun Centre.
Get a copy of Gunmart Magazine and compare prices there.

I now use a Redding T7.

I used to use a Redding Boss until I sold it to Baz. I just got fed up changing dies and setting up, now I just turn the turret, or change the whole turret to access another 7 dies.

Forster now for me.
Rockchucker before, but I got the Forster one for a bargain.
Super bit of kit, but very pricey. Ruckchucker will do you nicely.

Just for interest, how did it break ? Which model was it ?

It was a challenger press came with anniversary kit some while ago. Made of cast alloy. The handle clamps into a cast bracket made of monkey metal that gave up the fight whilst sizing some .243 brass. Think it's been creeping up for a while but it still did the job right up to the last!!
