well what can i say.8rounds in 3 sec so they say.
we just got back from the range and iv got the big cheesy cat look going on.
i have put a new shape palli nv on it with an weihrauch sport pro muffler on the end .
armed with field target trophey's.super point's .aa diablo field's and hunter's .
trophey's back in the bag with the super's it was down to the diablo's.
now my bsa super 10(22) loves the diablo field's but not so much the hunter's.
mabe becouse it's the carb .
didnt seem to matter for the fx storm(177) but i will use the fields in the storm aswell.it looked like they was more pellet on pellet .
hard to tell except fields looked like a clover leaf after on the target and the hunter's was more acorn leaf.but then again when i think about it now did i lube the hunter's ?
all said and done i realry liked it .
we had a little speed round with it .they claim 8 round's in 3 sec's.hmm i think i need practice there.but a pistol grip cocking system is nice.u dont leave your shooting position.i found with speed didnt come gruoping .
all in all a great gun i thought.shot smooth ,fast and on the bull.
the muffler made us think the gun was broke .the sound u hear is gas leaving the reg and the smack on the target.

ok now the bad bit .
i shoot a 10 shot gun.but for some reason fx thought ok we got a fast gun let's put a stupidly small 8 shot mag in it.
to top it off let's put in on the right hand side.
then let's put a spring on the gun that shoot's the mag 1 foot when u release it.
by the time u think yea this is great pellets flowing like water ,STOP who turnt the tap off.
i can see why the monsoon hase a big mag now.
any 1 who has a super10 must agree left hand load is comfy and easy in out mag system.
not so sure with the fx .pull grip back now pull the mag rod back.now turn the gun over to ts left try and stop mag going for orbit. try to line up new mag on a spring cushion .dam i need another hand for mag rod.
such a loverly gun let down by this.

im not going to part with it thoe .evry 1 how walk past said wat the hell is that .i dont sound like a 12 more like a 6 under a duvet(rabbit's are gona hate this)and asked for a go after hearing pop click pop click pop click.
2 even added is that legal.air gun's should'nt be allowed to shoot that fast.

so i guess it's a marmite gun your love it or hate it.
to this point 7 ppl have said wow i love it.next time ill let them load it hehe.

if any one else has one plz let me know how u get on with the mags.

o 4got to say 4mag holder's in the butt only 2 work.but then again i only have 2 mag's.

the shot count is very high .i dont think ill fill it for next day shoot just to see wat i can get b4 drop off.it's had about 140 through it this evening.

the mag load/catch on the way out thing isn't a problem when you're left handed:D

Put all 8 shots into a one hole group measuring 13mm edge to edge off a Bipod at 50 yards the other week with mine, my best yet. Found it shoots tighter groups when I removed the barrel support though. I plan to drill the support out so that no part of the barrel is in contact with it, but it will still be able to provide some protection from any accidental knocks.
Fitted a with Weihrauch Silencer, an MTC Viper 6-24 x 56 and a bipod, it not only looks the business, it does the business.

I love it!!

im getting used to it more and more now every day.
but still miss them extra 2 pellet's.
yea the gruoping is tight.but i think if was to put my normal day scope on it i would group tighter then with the nv .as it stands at 40 yrds it's aclover leaf shape all in the 10-9 area and if im honest the odd 8 comes from me being to skitty on the grip try to get the speed up .
dont know how they got 8 shot's at 3 sec ,well not on target.

No nor do I. I've had a go at rapid fire just the once, didn't get close, and I'm sure if I went any faster it would have all ended in tears with a jammed action and mangled pellets up the tube!

I got mine from BTAS, and Ben told me at the time not to wrench the grip back to hard (sorry Ben I don't usually ignore your advice, but I had to have a go just the once!) or the mag could over spin, especially with the extra momentum from the weight of the loaded pellets and jam it.

ill keep that in mind about the mag.

I have a 22 Storm and love it to bits, dont have aproblem with the spring loaded mag, developed a technique of right hand thumb on the release and forefinger on the mag, works a treat.

Nice gun for ratting, loves AA fields, mossies = shotgun pattern!! Stick with it,

Love the looks of the Storm. Don't like the griploading though. You can't pull the rifle into yr shoulder; that'll open up the action..

I've never tried the Storm, but I'd always assumed it was like a P/A shotgun: i.e. the slide/grip was locked when cocked and only free to move after releasing the trigger. Is this not so?

No unfortunately the Grip/Slide does not lock whilst cocked, so it would be possible to double load it like many other multishots. However, you should be able to tell if it's already been loaded with one up the tube, as the grip pulls back with no resistance, since you are not recocking the hammer only rotating the mag.
On the subject of the grip pulling back whilst pulling the gun into the shoulder. This could be solved by a very simple and quick adjustment. On the right side of the Grip/Slide tube, there is a small BB that acts as the means of locking the slide in the closed position. When you pull the slide back this BB is depressed into the tube releasing the slide. On the opposite side of the tube to the BB you should see a small hole. Inside this hole is an Allen Screw. By gently tightening this screw, you can increase the spring pressure on the BB latch, thus increasing the amount of pull required to release it from the closed position. This should solve the problem for most people. Slacking the screw off will have the opposite effect making it easier to release.
By the way has anyone tried shooting one with the barrel support removed, and found their grouping improved as I did, or have I just got an odd gun?

I`ve read somewhere (possibly the FX site), that the barrel support has only been added to protect the alignment from accidental damage in hunting situations. After requests from hunters.
I removed mine early on and experienced slightly better groupings.:)

yes i got better groupings with the support off, and no longer got any POI change when using a bipod mounted on the cylinder.

Also I was experiencing POI change after a fill, if the cylinder gets a bit warm during the fill, only needs a couple of degrees, it will expand in length( all be it by fractions of a knats co#k) and force the barrell up, therefore screwing up any settings, just a thought....!

Glad to be of help.

Just thought I'd let you all know. Popped in on Ben at BTAS today and mentioned the barrel support and the improvement in accuracy when removed. The result was that Ben drilled out the part that goes over the barrel by a mm or so and fitted larger O rings for me. The result is I still have a barrel that is completely free floating as if the support was removed, but now have the protection of support in the event of an accidental knock. I will let you all know if this mod has been successful, though I see no reason why it shouldn't be. Ben is a top bloke.

mine hasnt got the support on it .so couldnt say if it helped or not .
but as time goes by i've fallen for this gun in a big way now.
i put a day scope on it the other day for the 1st time.
hell yes .
only ever had nv on the gun b4.
having trouble with mag holder's thoe.
only 2 stay in if i try 4 in looking around for them later.
any 1 found a little tip on that yet or is it just me.

Yes I agree the mag holders aren't much use. I find they either fall out at the least provocation, or won't come out at all without something to hook them out with. I just carry the spares in a pellet pouch. The mod to the barrel band seems to have done the trick.
