Hi, for those of you who dont know me, i am a disabled shooter and i train at Stoke at DTSGB, ( my website is wheelchairshooting.org.uk ) and even though i know the whole country is going through a credit crunch and money is tight i am on the scrounge for some sponsorship as i will be doing the London Marathon in April 2009 on behalf of the charity CHILDREN WITH LEUKEMIA, yes, i will be doing a full 26.2 miles but the thing is,,,,, i will be doing it in a standard wheelchair, not a nice speedy racing one.
I am the first person that the powers that be have allowed to do this in a normal chair and as such i would love to raise a boat load of cash for what is a brilliant cause.
I have just completed the Leicester Marathon in October this year and despite saying i would never do it again and crying like a big girl when i finished i felt compelled to do London after meeting a couple of young Leukemia sufferers at the John Radcliffe Childrens Hospital and seeing that even faceing the challenge of a lifetime these youngsters never fail to have a smile on their face.
Like i said earlier, i know money is tight and we are all struggling but if you can spare anything at all then it would be very very much appreciated.
Donating to this cause is so simple because i have set up a paypal account ( which seems to be the in thing at the min ) to which you can send any amount.
The address to send your donation at paypal is THEBIGPUSH@YMAIL.COM
Many thanks in advance to anyone who feels they can help with this.
THANKS FOR READING THIS POST AND MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BRILLIANT NEW YEAR.
