I am sorry to say that Adrian, also known as Phasers to stun on this BBS died during Wednesday evening. He had long been battling diabetes and hypoglycemia and unfortunately it finally got the better of him.

He really was a "Parker Hale Wizard" and there wasn't a nasty bone in his body, RIP Adrian.

Thankyou for posting this:) I heard the terrible news earlier today, it knocked me for six. I spoke to Aidy a few weeks ago and he sounded fine.
I met Aidy when I joined the BFTO and had the pleasure of shooting in his CSFTA Bisley3 team, we travelled to shoots together and although he was my senior in years, we shared the same childish sense of humour:) I will remember him fondly as possibly the only man I have met who can out-talk me:D "Quick" phone calls to each other often developed into Marathon sessions, which I will always fondly remember:)
Aidy, to me, was like an overgrown Schoolboy, enthusiastic and passionate about his shooting and related engineering works, as Alan has said, he did not have a single ounce of nastiness in him-the true Gentleman of Airgun Shooting and a superb shot to boot.

I will miss you Aidy, I hope you have found peace my friend.

poor ade ... i will remember him for the long telephone calls also lol , i only spoke to him about 5 times and numerous emails .... and the last time he was on a high as he'd just got his new dog .... passonate about what he did and a nice chap to know ....... RIP :(

I too am sorry to here of the passing of Adrian, only having had a couple of "short" phone converations (well one was only half an hour) an a few emails I can say that the airgun comunity has lost a genuine enthuiast (particualy for Dragons)

theres no justice, the good uns go first. i too had the pleasure of chatting at length on the phone with adrian, many time thank goodnees at his cost.
a true loss to airgunning. :(

A couple of years ago I spent a lovely afternoon chatting to Adrian at his home next to the Thames, what a delightful man, what a shame. RIP

It is a real shame. I met Adrian a couple of years ago when I sold him a Parker-Hale Dragon. What a nice (very talkative!) fella. I knew he wasn't well but it still came as a shock to me when I heard the news he had died. It is a very sad loss to the airgun community and he will be be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear that. A while ago he rebuilt a PH Phoenix (superbly) for me and I had some hilarious phone conversations with him.

A lovely bloke who'll be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, or of him.
