Evening all

I have recently had a few pm's with regards to helping out a rather special young man , most of you will know about Michael on here and with Grahams approval I have posted this thread to see if we could do something for Michael to look forward too - ( not MAD MARKS flying lesson ) lol

Please do not see this as a charity fund raiser as I feel that would only offend , saying that we will need some wedge to be able to send him for a day out of a few days away etc

I know for a fact that Michael likes to travel to London and he wants to go to the isle of mann ! :)

Please don't think I am being a pre madonna , I am posting this for a brave young chap who I think we all would love to help ... he's been through a very difficult time of late so lets give him something to look forward too !

Any suggestions greatly appreciated ............. Grahams post with regards to Michael (http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288409)

Michael does'nt feel to good today, but he seem's to feel better when he lies down. Just phoned the hospital up and they think is shunt maybe draining to fast and they what him back in hospital right now :(

I will let everyone know whats going on, as soon as i can.

Still i have told michael that everyone's looking out for him

all the best from Graham and the brave guy himself Michael

I'm in London and ready to do anything to help out.

Let me know and I’ll take a day off and play chauffer or chaperone as appropriate

I could take him to some the gunshops, I have a few connections with various museum and so on.

Perhaps he could come down to Bisley for a shoot with my club.

There is the option of a trap shooting lesson from a friend who is an Olympic standard trap shooter at the A1 ground in north London.

Any or all of the above could be combined or made to fit around anything else planned i'm sure.

Anything fella, Michael sounds like a brave lad and certainly deserves a day or two out of the routine.

Let me know.

All the best,

Amir

Dave, we don't usually have a raffle at the Southern Hunters but this year will be an exception and I'm sure the organisers won't have a problem with it.

We'll put in a couple of prizes to kick things off and if anyone wants to contribute a prize then they are free to do so. Anything from a tin of pellets to a box of chocolates to a bottle of booze, it dosent matter what. Tickets will be £1.00 each so there's no excuse really for anyone not paying at least a pound.

If we get 120 shooters, that will be a minimum of £120 although in reality it should be much higher. As said even if every 3rd person only brings a prize, theres going to be some good prizes there and plenty of them so it would be good to see at least a fivers worth of tickets purchased per shooter.

At the end of the day, someone can bring the takings back if you don't make it.

Hope this suggestion meets favour with all concerned.

We can also have a donation box for those who don't do raffles.

WE ARE ALL BACK HOME :)

Michael had a CT scan when we got to the hospital then lots of xrays, from his head to his stomach to see if his brain shunt was blocked again.

Then we saw the neuro surgeon, he said michael's still got to much pressure build up on the brain because michael's shunt is draining to slow, not to fast as they thought this morning and because he's got a new programmable shunt they can do it on the ward, so it's now draining brain fluid faster

If he still had is old shunt in, it would have been done in theatre, so i am glad about that.

We have to see how michael go's in the next few days, if he's still bad they will cut the valve off the shunt and just let more brain fluid out, but this will be another operation

But lets hope this will help and he doesn't have to go back in hospital.

HE'S GOT TO GET BETTER FOR HIS SPECIAL DAY OUT :D

Thanks to you all, Graham :)

Hi Dave, I have been keeping in touch with Graham and Michael over the last few months and I have a rifle I would like to auction for the cause.

Its a Crosman 622 Co2 repeater in near mint condition and quite collectable,
all proceeds will go towards his "grand day out" so any one who collects or would like this rifle just for fun call me on 01223 872655.
I think £150 would be a good starting point for offers.
