Are you talking about a F.A.C. rated version - this would explain why the rifle is using so much air per shot. If it's a sub 12fpe gun, approx. one bar (or less) per shot is 'normal.' I use a stirrup pump all the time to fill my guns at home, and only use the scuba tank when shooting away. The trick with pumps is, don't allow the pressure to fall too low. Then, admittedly you have to top it up more often but, it's less work when you do. In the case of my S400C, if I pump it to 170 bar then fire 40 shots, it would still have approx. 130 bar remaining, no question. Regards ... Geek

you say 1 bar per shot!!!!!,dam what are you shooting?,my hw 100 is semi regulated or so im told and when i fill to 200 bar i can fire 2 mags,,28 shots and pressure is down to 150, so is double what you say and my gun runs at 11.6ftb's,,,i get roughly 6 mags worth from a fill,,,is my gun using too much air then mate??????

Yes, I know the HW100 has a self-regulating valve, the Air Arms S400/500 series do not. Anyway, obviously the shot count for a carbine is going to be less than a full length cylinder. For your, and anybody's interest, both my A.A. regulated rifles use less than one bar per shot, the EV2 is especially frugal in its air usage. Regards ... Geek

I also shoot the S510, great little gun.

I get from a 190 Bar fill down to 110 Bar about 70 shots (1 shot per 1 Bar nearly).

I also use a Daystate Harrier X and get about 1 shot per 1 Bar.

Both guns are unregulated and .177 @ 11.3ft/lb and 10.5ft/lb.

I thought a bar equated to 15lbs per sq ins or am I missing some physics here:confused:
