I bought this last week , sold my HW100 4.5 because I mostly shoot my FT gun : Daystate MK3 , and wanted a FAC
the 410 looks great , feels good and shoots pretty good : sub 1" at 50 meters with JSB Jumbo 5.52 at 25.68 fpe (260 m/s)
I just bought a tin of Baracudas to give them a try , after that I'll try AA Fields
the magazine is easy to load and to(re)place
sidelever action works smooth and quick , really nice like the HW100
I have a JSR 6-24x56 on top but want to change to Viper/Mamba but I'm not sure yet what magnification I want to use
because hunting is not allowed overhere (Belgium) I might choose a large magnification and set it up like a FT gun , so maybe a 2nd Big Nikko or the Big Viper
there are two things I would like to improve : trigger and sound
the trigger is way to heavy , off course I'm used to the electronic MK3 trigger
the shrouded barrell does its job but I think it is still too loud
if anyone has tips on how to fix the trigger and the noise , please post here

I have used copper crinkle washers (M2+m3) from Radio spares in my s400 and S410. they are a vast improvement over the standard rubber o rings.

I can't believe everbody with a 410 Xtra fac was happy with the result of the shrouded barrel
does anyone know why there are 3 holes at the beginning of the shrouded barrel , I know the air comes out there
could it be more quiet if the holes weren't there ?

Triggers fine Pete, plus my gun has a little more power then yours.
Mine does 29ftlb with 15.9 g pellets and over 30+ with 21.4 g barracudas.
The gun is not that quiet, hence I have a moderator to put on the end.

thanks Willy,
what moderator ?
and doesn't that make the gun extra long ? too long maybe ?

I have a few long guns, my dominator was 45 inches long, plus a rim fire of mine is around the same length.
I have used a 1/2" unf male to 1/2" unf male adaptor for the moderator, and will be using a wild cat cub moderator which is very short.
Chambers gun smiths sell the adaptor.
I find the side lever very very smooth and the magazine works perfect, but my gauage is 40 bar out! so i called air arms and they are going to replace it free of charge.
This rifle is so accurate I am well chuffed with it.

Cheers tim.

10 shot string after taking 10 shots first with a lighter pellet, then I changed to baracuda 21.20 g and got this string

825
827
827
832
835
843
844
845
846
853 = 34.20 ftlb

Very chuffed

the next ten shots - so this is shot number 20 and onwards
851
849
845
845
846
846
836
840
833
830

So i think I will get 40 shots at good power with this.
I don't think my chrono is 100% as it has been repaired from a near death experiance but it seems ok.
