Ok, this is my take on the BSA ultra.
Please bear in mind that I`m not as technically informed as some but this simple review is a clear concise opinion of what I`ve found!
Right, the rifle is VERY accurate (but which PCP aren`t these days?)
+It is very pleasing to the eye and the build quality is excellent.
+It is extremely light and pointable, easy to shoulder.
+It was very reasonably priced.
+The filling probe was easily attached and caused no dramas.
+The ambi (but slightly biased to right handed) stock is an absolute beauty to hold/shoulder.
+combined with a Weirauch silencer is is bl00.dy quiet .

OK THE -

-The Recock/Reload system is not quite as advertised and its a bit of a polava.
-There is no pressure indicator.
-The magazine system is unreliable and approx every 20 shots or so you just shoot air.
-Shot count is poor

Thats it, plain and simple review form my perspective on the BSA ultra.

My mods are going to include:

Custom skeleton stock in cammo
JB Tune/Reg fitted
Bipod

Cheers
Matt

Sounds like you're enjoying it :) What calibre did you go for?

I've got a .22 Ultra multishot on the way and can't wait. I'm also considering getting a regulator fitted to up the shot count. Do you have an idea of how much it costs?

Thanks, Ryan.

I think for a JB tune, reggd and larger cylinder its about £170 but dont quote me on that as I`ve just been trying to find the review I read before buying the gun but cant!:(
Mine is .22 as well, I maybe shouldn`t say this but so far it has proved more reliable than my other rifle which was 3 times the price??

I think this will really improve the gun as accuracy really suffers after 25-30 shots.

they are a really fantastic compact bundle of fun and definitely not Mr Ratty's friend.

I was told that the reg is only worth it if you can charge the gun above the 230 bar range. I would be interested to know for sure.

I've got a .22 Ultra. It's a lovely little rifle. Very accurate, I have no problem with the cocking system, work fine for me. I like the fact you can, de-cock the rifle, into safe mode and at the push of a button, be ready to shoot again. Very well done BSA.:):):)
