After reading the review of the SMK XS19 recently, I ordered the GRTIII trigger blade from Charliedatuna in the States for my own XS19.

I was a little doubtful as to how amazing it was reputed to be.

After fitting the trigger blade (which took about 5 minutes) it was so simple, even my Labrador Bessie could do it,
I then took it into the garden and tried a few test shots and was completely amazed.

It is fantastic, the first stage is so smooth and controlled, the second stage is crisp and predictable.

It has transformed the rifle into a much more accurate tool.

I know the chinese rifle haters will be along shortly..... but this is merely a review of charliedatuna and at just over £20 I would recommend everyone with an SMK XS19 or a Gamo should get one.

You will be amazed at the difference!

Glad you liked the new trigger. Although not a fan of the Chinese product myself, Charliedatuna does good work with them and Gamo's and enjoys a good following over here.

Yeah I got one from a decent guy in the lakes, but that one had a good trigger on it already.
The 19's trigger was crap, but not any more

Hi. You mentioned the XS19.
I was thinking of getting one of these in 177. What do you do with yours? Target, hunt or what?

Just a bit of casual target plinking in my back yard, I can't seem to muster up the interest for much hunting these days. I am too busy collecting.

They do a great job, bút for half the money, and 5 min time, you get the same trigger by tuning..(add another adjustment screw I believe or longer one or something like that).

Cheers Mike,

I have often thought about one of these triggers, but although I have seen the site, never thought of commiting to buy one.

I'm after a good silencer for the 19 to help reduce noise, I have dampened the recoil a little and that seems to have reduced the sound a touch.

So once I have the silencer for it the GRT from Charlie will be on the list.

Guess I was just hoping someone in the uk would buy one 1st and let me have an English review:D

The tuning kit for the CO2 guns is pretty good to. Bob (aka charlie) gets them in the post very quickly and his instructions are spot on

I have to agree they look really good, major improvement on the standard blade. Performance-wise... the trigger is definately smoother but still 2nd stage is slightly to long. Especially with an FAC spring behind the hammer...
At 12 fpe, cant fault it :)

I'd recommend them! £33 posted to the UK..
For FAC -maybe give the sears all a little polish and put spacers adjacent to each sear to stop lateral movement. Bingo! :p
