i bought this 2 months ago, traded my hw95k in .22 for it from new avon arms got a very good deal top gun shop very friendly,
right i wanted to change to .177 and pcp i tried a few guns in my price range and the typhoon fitted very well so the typhoon it was.
first inpressions are very good, lother match is very good, action is all faultless ( ive put 2 tins through it no problems at all) allthough the bolt handle is a little small, the blueing is of a very high standerd and some very nice pieces of brass, the synthetic stock is very confy and grippy allthough doing some prone shots on concrete ive noticed a little wear on the bottem of the butt. my only gripes with the gun are there is no cover for the filler port but i bought a brass one on here for £11 and very good it is to. also a rubber recoil pad would nice but not a problem at all. also the trigger is a 2 stage ajustable whitch i find as good if not better than the hw i find the blade a little wide and square, just need a little getting used to. The fx is very light but not to light it affects the handleing.
I got home fitted a swift silencer this really does do its job i think there one of the best out there, i then fitted my hawk 4-16x50 on midium sports match mounts, i then filled the gun with a divers tank and set about zeroing the gun this was done in about 5 shots, i then got the crono out and a selection of pellets to find the best,
fx pellets-11.39 fps
bisely magnums 12 fps
field target trophy 11.3 fps
aa's 4.51 and 4.52 were 11.9 fps
super h 9.82 fps
superdomes 10.2 fps
there was not really a lot of differnce in accuracy with field targets comming out on top so im gonna stick with these, i then done a shot count. I find it best to fill it to 180bar then i get a full 48 full power shots before it starts to drop quite fast,
ive been out in the field several times and it always fills my bag, im now shooting pellet on pellet out to 35 yards with a bipod and sub half inch groups out to 50 yards.
all in all im very happy with this gun, im thinking about an after market trigger blade and maybe a walnut stock in the futre.

The standard FX trigger itself is alloy, so easy to work on. However, before you do that consider changing its angle by a degree or so (how its presented to your trigger finger) but remember to fully tighten it after adjustment & dont go mad on the angle - only a very small amount of turn to the left (if your right handed) is probably needed.

If you do start 'metalworking' then Deben would be able to supply a new trigger blade if something goes wrong :p.

I should have mentioned that its always best to remove the stock to do any trigger adjustments. (& ALWAYS check the safety works correctly after any change).

Anyway, you'll see that the trigger blade is removable & should be easy to 'copy' :).

'FPE' is the best way to describe Foot / Lbs ;) (foot/pound/energy).

Your gun has a Lothar Walther choked barrel, ('nuff said)

That's a nice review :).Is yours the carbine or full length model?
I nearly placed an order after handling one(can't believe how light they are),but I went for an FX Cyclone with synthetic stock. The waitings a killer :D.

just done the soap test at 25 yards, 3 bars of soap, goes through the first 2 and all the way apart from 2mm through the 3rd, my hw 95k .22 would only go through 2 and stick in the 3rd very impressed. sorry its the classic typhoon i got not the carbine.
these are the results from my 70 shot crono test in ftllbs using un weighed h&n field target trophys, i filled the gun to my usuall 180bar

allthough the power dropped the point of aim was with in a few mm, more than happy with that, for hunting i recon ive got a good 50 maybe 55 hunting shots not that i every use that many.
also ive fitted qd studs the only studs i had were bisley long, so i was kind of gessing were to put the front stud as i didnt know if the stock was solid or hollow(its solid), so to be on the safe side i drilled a 4mm hole 2 and a half inches from the very front of the stock the stud stuck through by 3mm so i just chopped a little off, now fits like a glove, i fitted the rear stud were the but stop's being round and starts to go flat.
