Just got the rifle today. Will try to be as objective as possible.
- This is medium weight air-gun, very similar to Air Arms S400 and S410.
- Stock is beech. While I was drilling hole for the QD stud, drill had hit something inside the but, that offered resistance. I guess it was a knot left by branch or some other imperfection in the wood.
- This air-gun comes with silencer that is very small, but resonably good. Built in silencer is louder than Air Arms silencer for S410. It is much louder than Ripley's long silencer.
- One can get optional RWS Airstream Mk.2 silencer for this air-gun. Ehh, well, that is where a miracle starts. With Airstream Mk.2 silencer attached on the top of the built in silencer, with effectively two silencers, this air-gun becomes inaudible !!!! You hear action, you hear pellet hiting target, but you do not hear the usual bang of the expanding air. Actually, at a first instance, it seems that rifle doesn't work, it is so quiet.
- 10 shot magasine is mostly made of plastic. It sticks out of the action quite high, so you definitely need the tallest scope mounts you can find. Magasine is made of plastic and looks quite cheap.
- Rifle has scurity, what consists just of a very simple rotating switch on the back of the action. That works flawlesly.
- There is no gap between the stock and air cylinder. Usual test is to try pulling £10 note, between to check that action is free floating. Otherwise you get pellets flying all over the place. (this is just observation, I haven't tested accuracy and consistency yet).
- I'll test accuracy next week. I'll test accuracy to 45 yards. Because all air-guns are super accurate to 35 yards, so there is no point. Please spare with me.
regards, dejan
