I have had my longbow .177 with walnut stock for three weeks now.
When I first got it out the box I knew I had got the right gun. The Finish is very good.
The only problem I had was cocking the gun but thats more down to me. I have
Arthritis in my back & neck, so to help with the cocking I got a Parker-Hale mm1
Silencer and that makes it a lot better. The pellets I use are JSB Exact 4.52, with a bit of Napier POWER Pellet Lube. Well all I can say is the gun shoots alot better then me I think this picture gives you some idea.

I have a Longbow in .22 and find it a wonderful gun to shoot. Started with RWS Hobby and Superdome. just tried Webley lazerdome and do not find them as accurate, would be most interested in your own pellet findings. Do not know what the .177 barrel fit is like, but the .22 is a very tight fit for RWS pellets, not so tight for Lazerdome. Strangely, the Lazerdome are apparently heavier than the RWS, but the initial scope zeroing showed that the gun shot HIGHER with the heavier pellets at 25m.

My Webley Stingray .177 looks a bit 'retro' compared to my BSA Lightning XL .177 - but seems more powerful with quicker/smoother 'lock time' and much less recoil.

I would go for the Longbow in Walnut :D
