View Full Version : TX 200 SR Mk 1.
Recently aquired one of the above.Ive Been shooting precharged for about 2 years and cant get enough of it.I got this sr and cant believe how good it is it gives me so much pleasure as an alternative second gun,non of the hassle of air bottles etc.
Its a fantastic looking thing, especially since i bought it a nice custom stock,
many thanks to Pete on here ( 666 ) he is a star.
I was just wondering what other members thought of this model.??
So i guess im just starting the tx sr mutual appreciation society..
Cant really find any info on them.. ??

Why did Air Arms stop producing this rifle?
I think mainly because they didn't sell too well at the time. They were as expensive as many pcp guns and at that time everyone wanted precharged rifles rather than pay the same sort of money for a springer.

The TX200SR is one of my favourite rifles.
I have a venom 177 in a Gary Cane stock and it is brilliant.
I sold my .22 on here to BigNick a couple of years ago and have always regreted it!
When AA stoped producing the SR you could pick them up really cheaply from dealers especially second hand.If i remember JSR had the last few and were selling them very cheaply, looking back i Wish i had "filled my boots"

MichaelMichael - did your .22 have your name written in the stock inletting in black felt pen, by any chance?
If this one is the one you had, I understand absolutely why you regretted selling it...
... so much so, in fact, that I was compelled by an unearthly and irresistible force to get another one in .177 as well.
Marvellous things

Why did Air Arms stop producing this rifle?
A bit like why Theoben stopped producing the SLR88-it was too expensive to produce! :) :)
