Hi All

As a new member this is my first attempt at communication and guess what it's a question ; I am looking to 'tweak up' the ft/lb pressure in my 'king ratty' to something nearer the 12lb limit but am unsure of how/where to go to do so.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Hello Juals, and welcome. If you fill in your details a bit, so people know a bit about you,and introduce yourself in the general section, you may get a better reaction. Put this type of post in the same section as well. When it comes to power adjustment, people tend to like to know who they're talking to. Good luck in your quest. ;)

Hi Juals,

1. Fill your profile in mate.

2. Save your money and do the modifications yourself, but first invest in a chronoscope, you can put these over the legal limit with abit of work, luckily it is quite easy to retrieve the situation if this happens.

You could start with the following pages........

http://airguninfo.westexas.net/crosman.htm

And our very own Ora8i at......

I'm about to start another King Ratty, I'll take some pics if you want.

My thanks to all who responded to my request for info about beefing up my
King Ratty. I certainly have plenty to go on and I will work on the idea of doing the job myself (eventually), will keep you posted on the results.

I think they run at what 9ft/lb?

Stick a bigger barrel on there, you can get them from AirguSport for £20 post and brand new!!

This will give you about 1ft/lb more, if I woas you don't go any higher than 10ft/lb due to the CO2 liking the hot weather!

Or if not serch on here for TR Robb he does a few tuning bits for rattys

H i Juals! what is it your looking to shoot mate? if its rats, woodies or other small vermin then your kingrat has all it needs to do the job at 15 - 20 yards,
I have shot bunnies as a tester at 15 yards but wouldnt recommend it for that use, and you will get as much as 10ft pounds with clement weather,
wonderful little gun when used right.

Hi Stingray

My main targets are rats. I've had some good clean kills but there have been a number of hits where I would have expected to find a body but somehow they have got away. Began to wonder if more power was needed to ensure a certain kill.

You dont need anymore power Juals, dont forget a rat isnt easy to kill, iv'e shot em with my A.A.S200 and theyve still legged it, but its instinct more than anything, and they will go away and die, I got a BSA SYSTEM 2 LF for my kingratty, lamp and laser, nice bit of kit and just right for night hunting rats, cheers.
