This is not going to be particularly insightful or technical but here goes nothing.
In the past month or two I have fitted BKL mounts to both my Pro-Target FT rifle (reach forward silver bling;) ) and AAS410K HFT/hunting rig (thanks Nurek). The mounts replaced were hardly duffers, Sporstmatch and Leupold QR respectively (the temptation to release the quick release for spurious reasons was just too great:o ). They are hardly cheap and cheerful but they do a good job. I'm happier with both setups now they are on. They are very well made and grip like a pit bull. The best and most obvious change was the amount of windage adjustment that I was able to remove from both setups. I'm much happier that both scopes are now operating much closer to their respective optical centres.
There is little doubt that other, much cheaper, mounts will do a perfectly good job but I feel that the BKLs do things that little bit better.
