Anston Annual Championships - Sunday 15th January, 2006

Some really very nice 1st place Trophies to take pride of place in your Trophy cabinet for a whole year! and plenty of prizes too!

15 lane Field Target competition (to BFTA rules)
30 Target UKAHFT accredited HFT competition
20 shot American Silhouette competition

Entry to all 3 competitions for a single fee of £4 for Adults, £2 for Juniors (under 14)

Gates open at 8am, shoot-offs and presentations no later than 2pm.

FT competition starts at 9am, HFT safety briefings on the hour starting at 10am or as and when dictated by demand. (you must attend an HFT stafety briefing before you shoot the HFT course)

Buddy marshalling in operation for all competitions (you may buddy marhsall people from the same club, we trust you not to cheat)

Filter onto the course at your leisure - i.e. no shotgun starts, start shooting as soon as you have a partner to shoot round with.

Booking in office shuts at 12:00 noon - if you book in at 12 however, you won't have time to shoot both the FT and HFT courses.

The legendary Anston burger van will be there all day and toilet facilities will be provided (although they're basic at the moment - chemical loo)

Directions to the club can be found on the website - www.anstonftc.co.uk (http://www.anstonftc.co.uk)

Hope to see you there

Just had to borrow another 5 targets from Redfearns this morning (we lost 8 during a recent break-in) - hehe, if you think 15mm killzones are small - they look like dinner plates compared to one of the targets Bainesy has lent us :D

All adds to the fun of it - don't worry, I think a .22 pellet will just about squeeze through ( might not be a bad idea to use pellet lube though ;) )

Should be an 'interesting' shoot :D

This is the most waited for competition of the year so far. Will JohnnyLarge get thrashed again? :p :p :p (At HFT) Will Big Si and Ted finish the course in under two hours? Will William be sober? What new items will be on sale from “Big Si’s (Son and Daughter) stall of small delights, bring your money tell your friends”? Will Anston team Styer make it there? Will Anston team Dommie make one final “Last stand”?;) Will the Hobbit go prone?:D :D :D :D

I don't know which was more irritating - the sat nav telling you that you had missed the junction or the whiney whingey teenager telling me that you had missed the junction ;)

Me and the young pretender will be there as usual :)

My reticle has started spinning again so not sure exactly how I am going to hit any targets but I will give it my best shot (I have a cunning plan including 3 grub screws and a gallon of super glue :D )

Just mention to everyone that the sun always shines on Anston shoot days - you'll need to hire a mini-bus :)

Looking forward to seeing lads

Oi, Si! Do you find any golf balls on this course shoot of yours. What about bringing me some cheap golf balls to Anston? None of this £1 a time rubbish.
We get 4 for a pound at my Golf Club. Top Flite Z Balatas will do nicely.
Not been lamping for a while either. (HINT, HINT)
I'll bring YOUR spoon for you too. I might even have 10 minutes practice an'all.
John:)

Well I'm going to be there, rain, hail or sun - just to witness the Johnny Large vs Big Si battle. Don't worry Si. I'll be on hand to offer you LOADS of advice, hints, tips and amusing anecdotes - just as you're about to take each and every shot! Revenge will be sweet ;)

Sorry chaps I'm not ready for the winter league just yet ;) . I need to finish the stock on my gun and set up the clicks on my scope. I can only manage HFT at the moment and maybe the "Hunter series NEFT" this summer. When you are in this much of a demand time is always at a premium :p
