Derian House is a hospice for terminally ill children aged 0-16 (19) years. They get very little support from the government and only get enough statutory funding for 4 days and survive on donations.
Will you help Rivington Riflemen raise much needed funds for this deserving cause at our open charity shoot on Sunday 2nd of July at our Kersley range.
More details from our website in sig.

Well done Uttings, hopefully the first of many prizes from the trade, they've done us proud for the last two shoots and I'm sure they'll rise to the challenge again.
Thanks for making the thread a sticky Baz, it can only help our cause.

Ive just got back from Blackpool Air Rifles where Lloyd, in a moment of sheer unselfishness and extreme generosity, donated a Hawk 6x42 Reflex scope AND a Hawke Shot Saver for draw prizes. :D
He had to go for a lie down in the darkened stock room for half hour and hes back to his normal self again. ;) :D

Our host J S Ramsbottom has, again this year, very kindly donated a JSR 6-24x50 incl sunshade AND mounts. :D
One of our club members, Pete, who won a similar scope last year in the draw has generously returned the prize unused. Like he says he has two rifles - both with scopes and feels that its going to a good cause (and it saves him buying another rifle! ;) )
So that TWO great scopes up for the prize draw, which ANYONE can win regardless of shooting ability, on the 2nd July.

The quick and generous response from the trade is heartening, and it makes things easier for the organisers having a list of great prizes in advance of the day.
Thanks to Uttings, Theoben, BAR, Edgar Brothers, and JS Ramsbottom.

Waterfall target (http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/811/target1qd.jpg) Although this photo was taken at our Blackburn range (which is not the one used for our charity shoot) this is the kind of 'target setting mentality' which is prevalent at our club. You can expect targets floating on a pond  , up trees :p , down avenues of undergrowth  swinging in the wind. Basically anywhere and everywhere (8-45yds):D .
If you think the targets are going to be set in a flat boring muddy field - ;) :D :D :D !

For those camping over on Sat. night (£3/head), or those living locally, we have decided, if there is enough interest, to open our indoor range which is a few miles away. There you will be able to check the zero of your rifle in ideal conditions up to 40 yards and also have a go at 10m pistol shooting.
There will be no charge for using the indoor range facilities but the charity donation box will be in evidence. ;)
After that we can return to the outdoor range and frequent one of the many local pubs.
