As our membership is increasing we are now redeveloping our ranges so as to have a 60 metre plinking/setup , 10m Pistol, HFT, and an FT range, amongst wooded hillsides and open grass meadow.
Prospective members are most welcome on our shooting Sundays which average two per month.
We are located at Mouldsworth near Chester/Helsby with excellent road links.

*************** UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT *****************
You say its a 'Field Target Club' that caters for HFT's and plinkers alike Graham !!!!! ;)
This Club is Rocky 1, 2, 3, and 4 (maybe not 5) but is a serious contender in the world of sub 12Ft/Fbs Air rifle sports.
If you live near Chester give us a look see.

The place is really getting on it's feet now, the FT set up around the lake at the last shoot was awesome.

No rabbits to shoot at Chester unless you have strict permission from Peter the Farmer.
Pop along and see Dave he'll be chuffed to bits to see one of his old mates.
Mark my words Chester Field Target Club will be back on the map.

Hi my name is Mark and i have just taken up shooting again after a long break,i am disabled due to a serious bike accident and am now in a wheelchair. I have just bought myself a mark 3 daystate ftr, i have had it 2 weeks and not fired a pellet through it yet.Am looking for a club that i can join on a regular basis, i was thinking of travelling to Bolton from Chester. Can you help?I have a daystate competa pistol which i bought for £275 what a bargain, i am wanting to make a stock very similar to the falcon fn12 & was wondering if i could use it at 12ft lbs instead of 6 as it has a stock like a riffle.
Many thanks
Mark.

Phil, do Chester FT club plan to open weekly and do HFT in the future?
I'm interested, coz I am from Wrexham and might pop in one day when I am at home visiting the laws etc.
Pop along and have a look Andy.
We shoot 26 times a year on set dates, as we share the land with shot gunners and archers.
We have a plinking field which is about 400 yards long and 60 yards deep, good for setting up scopes and general plinking.
We have a sporting course comprising of 18 resetable targets, set out to 45 yards and under, around a 700 yard 'L' shaped tree line.
We are at the moment developing a separate FT competition course which will be set out over broken ground, some shots will be over water, some up hill and some down hill, but the most important thing is the course will be completely different every time we shoot.

Hi Mark
If I was you I’d try a range of different clubs and choose one that best suits you and your air rifle shooting needs.
The next two dates for Chester are 12th of Feb and the 26 of Feb.
Regarding using a pistol at 12ft/pds that’s a question that should be put to the BBS general section.

Might be an idea to tryget a 4 way North West HFT league off the ground??? ie Chester, Tawd Vale, Rivington and BAGS?
See you soon, ps. I've moved house up to Allcot Ave now, so a bit closer to the Sportsmans.. :D :D :D

Hi, i'm also from wrexham and wouldnt mind coming along to the next shoot.
I've been out of the game for a while and just got my first pcp setup.
I'd feel a bit of a pillock just turning up and pestering people. Is there anyone i could arrange to meet there to explain the setup etc.. ?

Sounds like a bloomin good excuse for an afternoon of cucumber sandwiches, ginger ale and flyin lead.
You are on - I'll get in touch and arrange something. Probably in the Summer.
(Plenty of time to get sorted.) These HFT Bods all claim to be incredibly busy.
Looking forward to it already.
