Bonnie&Clyde vs V-Mach

Hi

I am interested in forum users opinion on Bonnie&Clyde Tuning vs V-Mach tuning of AA Pro Sport. Is there anyone who had their Pro Sport tuned by Bonnie&Clyde and V-Mach?

V mac

The V mac is more expensive, but it sorted out my .22 Prosport which prior to fitting the kit was twanging like a cheap banjo

I have had 2xHW rifles fully tuned by Bonnie& Clyde (piston buttons etc).

A HW80 and a HW95K

Both are superb smooth as silk accurate and Quiet. Highly reccomended. Some 2 yrs later and they are still spot on.

I could not keep the lad off the 80 he wanted it as soon as it came back and eventually gave it to him.

I have a Longbow to sort for the daughter no prizes for guessing where its headed

I have used quite a few Bonny & Clyde kits they are by far the best value, and work as well as any Venom kit ever did, and I was always a Venom fan

It makes tuning a springer a piece of cake

It's a free market, but I always tend to have most faith in people who do what they do day in day out, who have to get it right or go hungry so to speak.
How much to tune a hw 80 buttoned piston etc for example ?
£110 including return post
yes im a full time gunsmith after giving up my job in engineering (£700/£800 pw)due to, to many hours,i have no other income ,have been tuning airrifles 20 odd years, worked for many local gunshops,my record is inpecable, next question, more about you please.
i have nothing to hide

My HW95 was done up by Steve Pope of V-Mach, and a superb job he did too. But others who've gone with Dave have had equally excellent work, by all accounts. Whoever you end up going with, you'll be delighted with the results.

I havn`t (yet !) been able to shoot of Steve`s (V-Mach) rifles but his reputation (and his fathers) is perhaps unpparelled in this line of work and speaks for itself.

Very recently I`ve been able to try out one of Dave`s (B&C) fully buttoned rifles (HW35) and it is very good indeed. He is winning a loyal following on here with good reason.

In addition I also rate Tonys Walls (Sandwell Field Sports) very highly indeed - I`m lucky enough to own two HW`s (HW95 & HW97) that have been tuned by him - both are truly superb (and others who have tried them would tend to agree).

I think you will find all three of these chaps have earnt their excellent reputations though hard work, good value, customer service and an excellent end product.

Perhaps the best suggestion I can make is to give them a ring and discuss your requirements with them, then perhaps you can choose whoever best suits your requirements such as depth of pocket, location and timescale.

As C3PO 1 has already said I`m sure you will be delighted by the results whoever you choose (everybody should own a tuned springer )

ATB Simon

Wow sounds like it's going to be competative

What happened to the tuning houses of the 80s-any more still around ?

Are these the only three to go for for springer tuning ?
