Going from classic to carbine will reduce power ,but no-one will post power adjustment on open forum.

Even if you change the barrel, you should be able to up the power OK.

Where on the power curve did you measure?
If it was just after filling - to say 180 bar, you could easily find that sort of power. This should rise to over 11 ftlb at the sweet spot.
You should be able to adjust the power easily by a little, but this should be done at the peak of the curve so that you will always be legal.
I think you'll find that AA type pellets are the most efficient in AA guns.

I think your problem lies in the fact you've cut the barrel down. I fitted a career barrel (same length as the classic) to my S410k a while ago, and the muzzle energy shot up from around 11.5ft/lbs to nearer 14 (obviously it was adjusted back down again).

Can anyone confirm that the striker and spring are the same mass and spring rate in the Carbine and Classic, and that all the velocity adjustment is done on the transfer port alone?

Hi Paul the striker and spring must be a bit weaker on the classic due to the longer barrel I have heard of a classic been cut down to carbine length it lost one ftlb

OK.. How did you fit the Career barrel? Are they the same diameter? what about the breech insert? I hear the twist is greater, and they are a very accurate barrel.

A Career Barrel has 8 lands as opposed to the usual 12 and they are un-choked.
