Some advice for a newbie please

Hello folks, great board and community you have got going here!

Was wondering if any of you could help point me in the right direction, a friend and I were chatting and we decided that we need a hobby as we both spend too long at work, I suggested air rifle shooting as I used to take pot shots at tin cans with a friends air pistol when we were younger, which was great fun.

Can anyone tell me a good friendly club around Wolverhampton way, (I live just off junction one of the M54) I know there is a shooting range in Aldersley but can't really find much information about it on-line although when have a little more time will pop down there to have a look.

Quite fancy just plain target shooting I guess rather than anything else and would like to visit a friendly club to get to know some folks and soak up some knowledge before parting with some hard earned cash.

Thanks for any help you can give me

(Did do a search on the BBS for Wolverhampton & Aldersley but not too much help really)

    Best wishes

    Neil

Thanks, I knew it wouldn't be too long before I got a friendly reply of some sort, I'm amazed by how friendly this forum is, probably the most jovial forum I've ever seen on the net!

Thanks again for making me feel welcome!

Mill Ride mate. Only a mile or so from where you are. Few members here. Watch out for the Doctor, he can be real mean!

    Thanks,

Can you be any more specific about Mill Ride, in google I get a golf club in Berkshire! (Looks a nice golf club as far as I can tell though). Would be interested in contacting some members of a club before I just pitch up to make sure I don't upset anyone. Doctor? Who's that then and how frightened should I be?
