The grease is probably just lube from the outside of the cylinder working its way forward. I wouldn't worry, just wipe it off with a tissue.
Try Accupels, or AA Fields.

I have recently purchased a mint HW97K MK2 that has only ever had 500 pellets through it, after firing several pellets through it today, I have noticed that there is a grease deposit of gray to white colour being left after every shot in the bottom of loading port....
should I be worried??
Also what pellets do you recommend? Thanks

The ox is slow, but the earth is patient.
Thanks for prompt reply I thought it was just lube but good to have it confirmed.
Sounds about normal for a HW bedding in.
Give RWS Superdomes a go or H&N FTT's as well as the usual JSB clones.
I find the bigger the size the better in a HW barrel (like 4.53's assuming it's a 0.177, of course).
I play a Fender bass, I shoot a springer. I like things to be, well, dependable
Try testing (chrono) the power level with 8.66 grain H&N F&TT's. Regards ... Geek
