Tin,
Sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the HW100.
Would seem a pity to move away from such a great rifle. No chance
it is something silly like a barrel clean?
Well the saga continues,
20 shot string from 170 bar
10.89
10.83
10.74
10.37
10.83
11.04
10.83
10.80
10.87
10.53
10.71
10.84
10.37
10.64
10.64
10.62
10.64
10.90
10.81
10.86
Now considering the test cert says 11.5 with field an target tophys is sombody tellin porkys?. Not really consistent hence its being returned to McAvoys tomm morn, as i now have lost confidence in the rifle i will be asking for a different rifle i think maybe a rapid 7 m2.
I dont think it should happen that a rifle that was supposed to have been tested should have to go back for repair..
End of rant.

I'm back.
I agree neilsey we love our 100s I suppose you will get the odd rogue gun but I love mine its in 22. But what a gun.
HW77K 0.22
Tin,
TAke it back and see if they will replace it with another one.
They really are a toprifle when they are shooting right.
Utokin2 and myself both shot ours in an HFT comp last week and they really are excellent.

I'm back.
From my guesstimation thats only a 20fps spread in .177 cal. With un-weighed pellets and an un-calibrated chrono I can't see what your problem is.

If it was just 20fps in .177 i wouldnt be too bothered but to have the charge go from high to low is the opposite of what you would expect.

'Chronoitis' seems to breed this - "I have a 20 FPS spread / is only putting out 11.5 Lb/Ft" etc
Perhaps it would be better to focus on things that could make a difference - trigger technique / breathing control / range estimation ?
It's even less in .22. But you never mentioned 11.7 from 200Bar...Originally Posted by Tinashi

Have not let it go that far davestate, i dont mind lower power but i would like some sort of consistency and i thought these rifles had it without the reg premium on it.
And 20fps affects a .177 less than a .22 imho.
I always used bis magnum in my .177 p/c dont get me wrong the trigger is perfection and the accuracy is awsome.

Form some data I was given
Firts 90 shots
Ave 783.67
STD 3.90
Max-Min 17.00
And have a look at : -

Do you notice POI changes while shooting at targets?
I'd be unhappy if a gun of mine was showing a difference of nearly 3/4fpe over 20 shots. My friends HW will give a spread of under 10fps every time, and thats with pellets out of the tin.
Gus
The ox is slow, but the earth is patient.
So assuming you are using AA Fields in .177.
10.62 ftlbs equates to 768fps
11.04 ftlbs equates to 783fps
15fps difference across the range.
I'm back.
