    Contenders, Best hunting pellet

    Following the post of firestarter what would be your view on the best all around hunting pellet?

    AA Field.accurate and hard hitting and deform well on impact.

    Exactly the same answer as the best pellet. A dome head from the JSB factory. Forget hollowpoints etc etc. Accuracy is king and domes deliver in the accuracy stakes.

    I've found Bisley Magnum works best but it's really whetever shoots well in your gun. Stopping power doesn't count if you cant hit what your aiming at.

    At 12ft/lb expansion/deformation etc is academic but the more weight you can get down range accurately the better as it retains more energy.

    In my rifle the most accurate hollow point is a Crossman, the best hollow point that actually expands (as such) is a Bisley Pest Control.
    What pellets would I use for hunting, the most accurate dome in my rifle or if for short range the most accurate flat head.
    Rabbit Stew, no artificial additives except lead.
