The raptor's the 8 shot.
The pf is multi shot an all though?
Steve
The old 'FN' multishots are known as raptors, but i have heard prairie multishots being called raptors, they are totally different guns of course(FN's/prairies).
So what's the difference? As asked in my origional post, I know they are different, that's why I askedOriginally Posted by bstrdmissed

The prairie is the mk2 fn if you like ,just like the s300/310,s400/41o.
The T-BIRD was also made, basically a prairie made primarily in titanium.
Ta That's what I wanted to know.Originally Posted by bstrdmissed

Steve
I would imagine so,i would have thought any probs with the fn would have been sorted on the prairie, they do share the same magazine system tho, which i think is a bit fiddly, spoilt with the aa mags me!
The prairies also have a derlin insert on the cocking leaver to make it smooother..
Old FN range had several variants.
FN**- single shot
FN raptor - multi shot
FN Hawk - single shot adapted to 8 shot
as above lighthunter - skeleton stock
There was a rare thumbhole variant
The next incarnation was the T Bird - ultra light titanium tube
Final was the prairie
FN derivative but with a longer and wider tube giving more shots.
There is a VERY sexy new model coming out soon

C'mon Gary Spill the beans.
Is it worth waiting for? The Multi shot Ultra is out in late spring.

I have a Prairie, and I believe that the bolt/hammer/trigger mechanism is considerably improved over the older FN series.
The Profile thumbhole stock is virtually a work of art IMHO.
The magazines aren't really a problem, unless you're using flat head pellets!
What's this new model like then - any pics anywhere?
Ben
I that sexy new Falcon the one that they have done with Axsor? I forgotten what it's called but we have had a prototype down at Ford for a week or so.
It's a domin8tor type action with the side biathlon cocking lever, brass bolt/mag release ends, BT regulator in a nice sporting stock. It's a damn nice gun that Falcon are doing in partnership with Axsor
