    QB78/XS78 .177 tuning

Has anyone here gas flowed / tuned a QB78 in .177? None of the posts I have read on here specify which calibre when stating power increases and I suspect they are mainly .22 rifles. Is it possible to achieve 11ft.lbs in .177?

    Thanks, Paul

    Hi,

Yes, I've done a .177 QB. They are quite tricky to get power out of. Since I did the last one I've had some more thoughts on where I may have been losing power the last time. As it was I think it was knocking out around 9ftlbs.

Dave where are you? He's never about when you want him.

    Cal 177

I got ave 723 fts with H&N Baracuda in my cal 177 QB-78.
You must open up all angels and ports. Put on a boltprobe and larger transferportseal.
I also put a softer valvespring in it.
Most important of all is to polish (SP?) all parts in contact with the CO2 gass.

The velocity I get is when using the gun in indoors temperature. Aprox 23 C.

In cal 22 I get aprox 650 fts using Logun Penetrator 20,5 grn.
