    Problem with cleaning barrel

Ive had my SMK XS78 since December last year and have only brought a air rifle cleaning kit this week.

Yesterday rightfully gave the barrel a clean using a wire thing brush and a softer brush, today however i gave it a couple of shots and the accuracy has come off drastically talking missing by inches at 10m

Could someone assist is there a specific way to clean to barrel and Ive gone and scratched the inner or is there something else gone wrong

you will probably need to put 20 - 40 pellets though it to lead the barrel up ,it should settle down then,as for putting those brass brushes down your barrel I wouldn't there for cleaning out rim fires and the like and are designed to remove lead and burnt cordite just use a pull through and a small drop of oil next time ,don't forget to pull the barrel though so its dry before you fire it as oil can ignite under pressure

Pull through from breech to muzzle is safest.

    Try felt pellets next time.

In all mine I've always used a piece of ordinary cotton cloth dampened with white spirit then a dry one and then one that is just moist with a non dieseling oil. That as it happens is what Air Arms say.

Nearly forgot, each as a pull through.
