    30mm or 1"

    Can anyone tell me if a 30mm scope needs 30mm mounts or will standard 1" mount perform just as well?

    Only if you do the screws up really tight

    No mate, you need 30mm mounts.

    A 30mm scope needs 30mm mounts. 1" mounts are 25.4mm and no good.
