Sounds like you've miss-understood along the line.

I can't think of any reason why you would have to have .177.

They sound like a bundle of laughs!

It would, however, cut down on the number of "what calibre" and "what rifle do you think i should get" questions.

Depends on budget and whether you want new or second hand. Any tidy rifle in .177 that takes peep/diopter sights would get you started. From there, maybe £200 ish for an old match springer (eg FWB 300), £500-800 or so for 2nd hand pnuematic/pcp, upto £1500 new. But a lot of people like a new PCP in .177 in the £300-£500 range, Air Arms seem popular

I know when I shot UIT 10m the club I shot at wouldn't allow .22

Anyway I would look at Feinwerkbau for 10m work personally, I used a 600 series which at the time was top of the range and was so damn accurate it was unbelivable, they know do the p70 and a newer one ( cann't rember the model number) but again should think it's the mutts nuts.

Before you buy try some different ones down thw club, most people when I started were more then happy to let me try their rifles, although the captain of the team gave me the cold shoulder when I turned up with the 600 as he kept telling me that this is the sort of rifle I should aspire(sp) to, I put his nose right out of joint I am sure this had nothing to do with the fact that I was 13

Just in case anyone is thinking that it's Thorn Dell that NASA is talking about I would like to point out that our membership is closed at the moment. No one would stop anyone shooting any calibre provided it does not require an FAC.

A further point for NASA. Could you please tell us which club you have joined?
I'd be genuinely interested to know. It sounds like it must be a ten metre match club but I don't know of one near Darlington. The nearest one I've heard of is up in Durham.
