MK3 - how many useable shots do you get? Also please post your gun's preferred fill pressure.
Fron 190bar fill i get 72 spot on shots
Pete
Depends on what you're using them for![]()
I fill to about 195 bar (maybe a shade less) and that gives me plenty of shots for an HFT course - I think it was about 60-65 very consistent shots last time I bothered to shoot a string over a chronoscope.
If I fill to 210 it gives me about 110 usable full power hunting shots.
I run mine at about 775-780 fps at the muzzle with JSB's (4.52's with Napier pellet lube)
I fill to 200bar (card that came with it said 210). Only done one chrono check as a bit boring - 85 shots before noticeable drop in fps.
Mine runs approx 785-795 fps with jsb 4.53's

Same here, i reached this figure by shooting a charge over the chrony.Originally Posted by mfr marcus

Ps. You spoken to Joe Young yet?

not a silly question - but I'm reasonably confident in the guage - my 220 power curve result closely mirrors those achieved by Daystate last week (across the 22 shots they tested it for). Also I tested at 220,210,200 and 190 bar - it was 210 that seemed optimum - if it was one of the two extremes 220 or 190 I would question whether I needed to test other "indicated pressures".Originally Posted by kev hughes

And no I haven't spoken to Joe yet - but will do later in the week (hopefully).
thanks
just to illustrate what sort of effect this power drop has on trajectory I rustled this comparison up in Chairgun:
