    hunting guns single or multi-shot?

Was having a plink with my new bull pup (LR90) last night thinking what a great little gun she is, but i'm assuming in a hunting role most would prefer a multishot to save fiddling with pellets, especially if in the dark?

so as a matter of interest, what are you regular hunters using in regards to a single or multi ?

I use multishot, mainly due to ease of loading. Have a falcon so mags are cheap and load a few before going out.

Multi shot for hunting every time, I'd rather fiddle about with a mag than a single pellet

Multishot PCP. The lads have already mentioned most of the reasons why.

see where your coming from guys, need to get as lot more practice in with my skan then can hit almost anything with the bull pup single shot (great gun!) but with the skan and my 3 x 32 shot mags I'm struggling to get a decent group at any decent distance let alone a head shot

I think it probs has a lot to do with confidence, did great with the bull pup right from the start , so feel safe in the assurance that both the gun and myself perform well. I tend not to use the skan for the same reasons, I'm so happy with the bull pup I dont tend to practice with it.

My NV scope turned up today so need to practice with the skan a lot more before switching to NV I think. If the bull pup was multi shot I dont honestly I think I would need another for hunting (apart for a seperate NV set up )

Then your better off using a rifle that you know will group in single shot than one that pepper pots.

Generally, I prefer multishot. Doesnt change my intention of a one shot deal, but you do havew a fast back up if required - and a lot of people bottle it hunting trying to get a second one away if required if not experienced.

You may also have more than one target opportunity such as magpies that travel in groups sometimes.

is true bud, others have shot my skan well tho, so unfortunately its me will get some practice in as ideally I would like it to be part of my night rig

Multi-shot every time. I’m not perfect and occasionally need a second shot.

Adrenalin will have that effect from time to time
As above, multishot PCP for most occasions but the springers and gas ram get an outing now and then.
