Goes without saying, keeping your hand on the lever when cocking. If you didn't you won't be able to cock it will you. However, keeping your hand on the lever when loading is an even better idea in my opinion as it will stop or reduce the risk of the breach snapping shut with your finger inside it.Originally Posted by pompeyplayer
