    B.A.R CP99 silencer

Does anybody know what the silencer that BAR sell for the CP99 is made of is it alloy, plastic, or maybe even nobendium
I have a plan for one assuming its not plastic and reasonabley well built.

I bought my CP99 and silencer from BAR. The silencer is the genuine Umarex one supplied with an adapter that fits on the front of the pistol. It is fatter and shorter than the usual ones for CO2 pistols but as it's completley hollow it dosent silence very much.

I tried the one from the S16 I used to have and that worked much better

You will need the adapter as it replaces the front plate at the end of the barrel, even if you fit a different silencer later. I would recomend a light weight one, carbon fiber, or the balance will be bad. It's a standard 1/2 inch female silencer.

    Cheers

    PS it's made of alloy.

Hey, I looked it up - It's a co2 lookalike real pistol that goes 'pop' 'pop' in the open air and 'popp! 'popp! indoors, Why does it need a silencer? The only thing frightening about it is its pop anyway! Still

One of the local club members bought one and it seemed to be a single piece of metal. If you want something similar but openable then a Soundbiter is a good choice - made from black plasticky stuff, 105mm long, 28.5mm diameter, 3.5mm thick walls with 3 springs and 2 washers inside.

Cheers Jonathan thats the info i wanted. Ideally im trying to find a very short basic (cheap ) silencer to butcher for a project the shorter and the smaller the better. I had an RWS Manders mod that would have been ideal but i sold it a few weeks ago

Especially for pistols @ 4 1/2 Long and being light as well

The adapters will be available on their own very soon as the silencer part is a bit pants . As the adapter is 1/2unf, you could fit a nice weirauch silencer
