All,
mant thanks for your input below on Theoben slr98-vs etc.
I'm now thinking of going for a Theoben evolution - what do you reckon?
TX200 felt too heavy.
SLR98 not worth the extra for multi shot with an underlever.
Weirauch 90 too heavy.

Yes, consider an evo. I had a fenman which is almost the same as an evo, different stock and a shorter barrel being the only difference.
Very well made and very accurate but.....try before you buy. Opinion is divided on these guns, personally I like the ultra fast locktime and build but dislike the trigger, infact I swapped it for a prosport mostly because of the trigger and partly because I couldnt get on with that ambi stock. Oh and the fenmans balance was too far back with a big scope on it, but that may not apply to an evo with its longer barrel...(balance is a personal thing)
The evo has the same trigger but a different stock.
In an ideal world I'd have a gasrammed prosport, oh well
I looked at an evo, but decided on a fenman. Slightly more pointable, as above it has a very quick lock time and is a brilliant gun. I love the trigger so i quite agree with above again - personal pref. Try it, love it, buy it.
Many thanks agian all.
When you say uiltra fst lock time waht do you mean? Is this the time it takes to break the barrel, load and then re-cock? If soi then speeeding this up sounds like a good idea.
No, its normally said to be the time it takes for the pellet to exit the barrel after the trigger is pulled. Faster=better.
If you do a search on locktimes you'll find lots of stuff.
