Cool A little piece of history

No idea if this is of any interest to anyone but having just started a clear out (bits will be offered on For Sale) but I came across the quote from which I bought my Weirach 35E and scope. It was from Optima (the scope manufacturer), is typed (complete with the odd correction) and reads as follows:

    Weirauch 35 Export .22 Air Rifle £79.50
4X32 Wide Angle Telescopic Sight £18.95
12nn mounts with retainer pin £6.95
    Silencer to fit Weirauch £9.95

It goes on to price a couple of slips and is dated 25th May 1979.

The gun is still in pristine condition as is the scope (which I do not use as I prefer open sights) and is still used.

Sorry if I have bored you all (no apology for the pun).

Optima Liesure Ltd. Gilnow Mill in Bolton. Know/knew it well. Bought a few rifles, scopes and their padded guns bags off them.

Are they still around and how are their scopes rated? Only when I bought mine I was pretty raw with scopes (I am a pistol man anyway).
