Being an Air Arms, I'd try their own pellet first. Remember there are a few different head sizes - 4.50 4.51 4.52 4.53? Try them until you find the one that suits your gun

My Pro Sport is best with AA Field 4.52.

I'd go with whats been said.
I use 5.52 in my Pro-Sport so would imagine the AA varients in 4.5 etc would be fine.

In most threads that ask what .177 pellets are best in .......... the standard replies are usually along the lines of 'whatever is most accurate in your gun'.

If people are not sure what pellets are most accurate in their gun, they are often directed towards purchasing a small amount of most makes available from someone like Pellpax. The alternative is to advise them to try one of the AA, Daystate, JSB variants, which some will argue are the same pellet anyway, as tehse seem to be fairly consistent and work for a lot of people.

Just as an aside I use JSB 4.53 in my Pro Sport, and they work fine, but then so did Daystate 4.52 before I changed supplier.

Each barrel responds differently to pellets, Its really a learning process, & something that takes time, Try JSB's/Daystate 4.51/2/3's but don't rule out other makes as well.
What is good in one gun won't necessarily be good in yours.

Very true, I spent the day shooting AA 4.52 at shepreth today. At the zero range I was all over the place, I thought it was either me or the wind as it was gusty.
A mate kindly gave me a tin of h&n fft 4.51 to try just before we left which instantly changed the group size from about half an inch at 25 yards to a nice tight hole...oo err... in the same conditions.
Thats the first time AA have been incompatible with one of my guns, it was quite a shock, I'd made the mistake of assuming they would be okay....wrong!
    Lesson learnt.
