i like the tdr but its overpriced for what it is IMO. i presume your looking at the air ranger at bar. i have only ever seen one and that one had a list of broblems as long as my arm could easily have just been the one that got through

As a dedicated hunting rifle the S410k is Fantastic.

only probs with the carbine range is number of shots per charge, with the theoben you dont have to think about it. I would also look at the BTAS fx gun, there is a write up in this months airgunner

I've decided to keep my air ranger it shoots spot on. It may be a heavy gun but you can feel the quality. Then again Air arms are just as good, which ever one you choose you won't go wrong

Pointless getting the TDR unless you need to travel inconspicuously with it (on public transport say,).
Mines great and its done all I could have asked of it but I wouldnt recommend it for anything other than close-medium range work like ratting/ferals.
If you want a general hunter mate then go for the S410k in .177. All you'll ever need.

I'd be interested to know why you wouldnt recommend the TDR for anything more than close/medium range work? is it less accurate than say the s410k?

Obviously you lose the shot count but I thought they were meant to be just as accurate?

    just wondered?

    blah blah blah...

    AA v Daystate v Theoben

Just get the one that feels right in the shoulder. They are all class guns.

(Not the TDR - pointless IMHO)
